"Daring to set boundaries is about having the courage
to love ourselves, even when we risk disappointing others."
Brene' Brown
Ann Marie Kolb, MA, LPC

My interest in psychology and my desire to become a therapist started when I witnessed family members and friends struggle with depression and anxiety. In 2005, I graduated with my bachelors of science in psychology and in 2009, I graduated with my masters in clinical counseling psychology. I currently hold a license in professional counseling through the state of Pennsylvania (PC009755).

I truly care for all of my clients, and work diligently to help find them the answers they seek. Since 2008, I have helped a diverse group of clients cope with circumstances that are unique to their lives.

In my therapy sessions, we’ll work to solve current problems and improve positive thinking and behavior. I will help you “re-frame” your reactions and provide you with valuable tools to cope with life’s obstacles. I have a laid back approach to therapy. I do not utilize only one form of therapy; I customize my approach to fit my client and their concerns. I do pull a lot from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients change the thought patterns that are not working for them, but I also take a compassion focused approach. We will work together to silence your inner critic and learn ways to increase self-compassion. I focus mainly on the treatment of mood disorders (depression, anxiety, and bi-polar) and trauma. I am pursuing further education in the treatment of trauma and I am also working towards my certification in addictions counseling.

We are continuing to offer several Telehealth options across all of our services to meet your needs. Call for details
